A premium German-made stainless steel honey bottling and settling tank with an integrated, thermostatically controlled bottom heater.

The Carl Fritz 50kg Heated Honey Tank combines a high-quality stainless steel honey tank with a powerful 500W electric bottom heater, professionally installed at the Carl Fritz factory in Germany.

Designed for beekeepers who want greater control when handling and bottling honey, the integrated heating system gently warms the base of the tank to help improve honey flow, particularly when working with honey that has become thick or difficult to dispense.

With a 50kg honey capacity, a sloping stainless steel base and a low-positioned 1½-inch honey tap, this is a practical piece of equipment for hobbyist and commercial beekeepers alike.

Why Choose a Heated Honey Tank?

Honey naturally varies in thickness depending on its floral source, temperature and crystallisation.

During bottling, thicker honey can flow slowly through a standard honey tap, making the process more time-consuming.

The Carl Fritz heated honey tank offers a practical solution by providing controlled warmth at the base of the vessel.

The heating system can help:

  • Improve the flow of thick or viscous honey.

  • Make dispensing and bottling more convenient.

  • Reduce delays caused by slow honey drainage.

  • Support more consistent honey handling during processing.

Unlike a separate warming cabinet, the heat is applied directly beneath the stainless steel tank, where the honey drains towards the outlet.

Please note: This is a bottom-heated tank, not a thermostatically controlled whole-tank warming cabinet or honey liquefier. Heating performance depends on the quantity, consistency and starting temperature of the honey.

Professionally Installed at the Carl Fritz Factory

One of the biggest advantages of this model is that the heater is not a DIY addition.

Carl Fritz's technicians install the 500W silicone heating mat directly onto the underside of the stainless steel tank.

A 9mm layer of isoGLAS® insulation is then fitted underneath to help reduce heat loss.

This gives you a purpose-built heated tank with the heating equipment already correctly positioned and assembled.

There is no need to purchase a separate heater or arrange installation.

Thermostatically Controlled Bottom Heating

The integrated 500W / 230V heater features an adjustable thermostat with a maximum setting of approximately 85°C.

For routine honey handling, significantly lower settings are generally appropriate.

Carl Fritz recommends approximately 35–40°C for certain honey bottling applications, with careful monitoring to avoid unnecessarily warming or over-thinning the honey.

Important: The thermostat regulates the heating system; its setting does not necessarily represent the actual temperature throughout the honey. Monitor honey temperature independently and select suitable settings for your product and processing requirements.

Designed for Honey Bottling and Settling

The 50kg stainless steel tank features a sloping base and a 1½-inch honey tap welded at bottom level.

This helps honey drain efficiently towards the outlet, reducing the amount left behind during dispensing.

The tank also includes a loose-fitting stainless steel lid and practical drop handles.

Whether you're filling individual jars, transferring honey into smaller containers or preparing honey for bottling, the Carl Fritz tank provides a robust and straightforward working arrangement.

Important Information

The heater is intended to assist honey processing and bottling by warming the base of the tank.

It should not be assumed that the heater will rapidly liquefy a full tank of completely crystallised honey.

Always follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and monitor honey temperature to avoid unnecessary overheating.

The supplied lid is loose-fitting, not an airtight locking lid.

This tank does not include a mechanical honey stirrer or creaming mechanism.
