I initially bought 2 ANEL hives and was immediately impressed with their design and began learning to use them - transitioning from Nationals to Langstroths in the process. I made the initial mistake of not rollering enough wax onto the plastic frames and so my bees didn’t initially love them but more wax solved that. I have also found the feeders difficult to use without drowning a lot of bees - so would appreciate some advice about that. However, I have found the leg extensions easy to use and effective plus they have been cool hives in the recent hot weather.

I tried this stuff recently, and the bees love it. You couldn't make this volume of syrup at home for the same money. The better thing is that this stuff has a higher sugar ratio to water than 50/50, and so can be used for emergency feeding or wax building. it has a long sell by date on it, and I am told that it doesn't ferment. That's a big bonus in warmer conditions if the colony are slow to take it down, and you get less waste.
I will be buying this now as the norm.

I do my extracting as a one person operation and my bottleneck
Is filtering honey as it leaves the extractor. I have been using plastic buckets and a sieve on top. This year I decided that enough was enough and I wanted a low bucket that would fit under the extractor outlet with a deep sieve that wouldn’t wobble or quickly overspill. This tank is solid. Easy to clean exactly what I was looking for. If I was being picky I would prefer it to have handles but it is only 25kg so not the end of the world. I have bought a few things from you and you have always been available with answers to any queries and your quick efficient service has always been impressive. Thank you.

This is an excellent extractor. It is solid, does the job and is easy to assemble and clean.

Well worth the long drive from Suffolk to collect, they are proving to be the calmest and most productive of all my colonies. Settled into the hive very quickly with an excellent temperament. Perhaps something to do with the amazing landscape they come from?

Great bit of kit for a (very) small scale beekeeper who fancies making small batches of soft set honey - this machine is easy to use, set the timer and walk away and the machine does everything for you until you are happy with the consistency - i'd recommend

I consequently purchased 2 complete hives.
They are exactly as described, lightweight, robust and easy assembled.

Time will now tell if the bees like the Anel as much as me!!

As the title suggests I was pleased with the nucleus received. Good temperament and calmed down after release. The brood cells were much in evidence and the colony was strong. They are now working well. A seamless interaction in ordering and delivery. Given the relative closeness of the apiary ,then I may well make the journey next year. Yes, I will order again.
