Beeswax Melters
Wax Cappings Melters and Honey Liquefiers
Process beeswax cappings, recover retained honey and gently warm crystallised honey with our range of professional wax cappings melters and honey liquefiers. Designed for efficient honey-house workflows, these fan-assisted machines distribute warm air throughout an insulated chamber to separate honey from wax cappings and provide even, controlled heating.
Our collection includes Carl Fritz CFM, Swienty DANA and Thomas Apiculture cappings melters, plus wax clarifying tanks, uncapping stands, frame holders, insulation jackets and stainless steel wax collection buckets. Choose from compact equipment for a growing apiary or high-capacity machinery for commercial honey production.
What is a wax cappings melter?
A wax cappings melter is used to process the wax removed from honeycomb during uncapping. Fresh cappings can hold a significant amount of honey, even after they have been left to drain. A cappings melter applies controlled heat to liquefy and separate the remaining honey and beeswax, helping beekeepers recover more of both products.
Many models can also function as honey warming cabinets or honey liquefiers. Gentle, evenly distributed heat can return granulated or crystallised honey to a liquid state before filtering, settling or jarring. Always follow the manufacturer’s recommended temperature and operating instructions for the product being processed.
Fan-assisted cappings melters
A fan-assisted beeswax melter circulates warm air around the chamber, promoting consistent heating throughout the load. This makes it suitable for processing cappings after honey extraction and warming containers of set honey.
Compact cappings melters are well suited to expanding apiaries and small commercial operations. Larger-capacity systems provide the space and throughput required by professional beekeepers, honey farms, associations and shared extraction facilities.
Optional frame supports and uncapping spikes can allow some melters to form part of an organised uncapping station. Cappings fall directly into the heated tank while the frame is being prepared for extraction, reducing handling and helping maintain a cleaner honey-processing area.
Wax clarifying tanks and accessories
Our range also includes stainless steel wax clarifying tanks for melting, settling and purifying beeswax. Double-walled electric wax melters provide controlled heating for beeswax processing and candle making, while purpose-made collection buckets, stands and insulation jackets help create a more efficient working setup.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a cappings melter and a steam wax melter?
A cappings melter is primarily designed to separate honey and wax from fresh uncapping waste and may also liquefy crystallised honey. A steam wax melter uses steam to render wax from old comb, brood frames and other hive material.
Can a wax cappings melter liquefy crystallised honey?
Many fan-assisted cappings melters can also be used as honey liquefiers. Their circulated warm air heats containers more evenly, although the correct settings and capacity depend on the individual machine.
How do I recover honey from wax cappings?
Cappings may first be allowed to drain or spun in specialist equipment. A cappings melter can then apply controlled heat to separate more of the retained honey from the wax.
Which cappings melter do I need?
Choose according to the number of colonies you manage, the volume of cappings produced during extraction and whether you also need to warm honey. Compact models suit lower-volume processing, while larger machines are better suited to frequent or commercial use.
