The CAPT'O selective hornet trap is a very effective trapping system which is installed on glass jars with a ring diameter of 82mm.

How to use it?

• Screw the trap onto a jar with a diameter of 82mm,
• Then, hang it by passing wire through the to holes on the sides or place it on a flat surface with it’s two feet,
• Next, slide the protective visor into the two slots and position it vertically if you are hanging the trap or horizontally if you are laying it flat.
• Finally, place the trap between two hives or on your hive to capture the  hornets . A few drops of hornet attractant such as our Trappit at the bottom of your container will make your capture easier.

The trap is sold individually, allowing you to reuse pots for a more sustainable approach.

Our advice for responsible trapping :

Hornet trapping must be carried out carefully to protect biodiversity. Place traps during periods of critical hornet activity and monitor captures regularly to minimise impacts on other insects.

Trapping from February to May :

During this time, target queens emerging from hibernation.

Trapping from July to November :

In summer and fall, hornets rely more on protein for reproduction.
