Queen Marker Cage with Plunger

A simple and effective queen marking cage designed to safely hold the queen bee while marking or inspecting her during hive management.

The queen is placed inside the plastic tube and gently guided upward using the soft foam-tipped plunger, allowing the beekeeper to safely mark the queen through the mesh grid.

Safe and Gentle Queen Handling

The foam plunger holds the queen securely but gently against the mesh, preventing injury while keeping her still during marking.

Once positioned correctly, the thorax is exposed through the mesh, allowing easy application of a queen marking pen.

Simple to Use

  1. Locate and carefully capture the queen
  2. Place the queen inside the marking tube
  3. Insert the foam-tipped plunger
  4. Gently push until the queen is positioned against the mesh
  5. Apply the marking colour to the thorax
  6. After marking, the plunger can be lowered slightly to allow the paint to dry before releasing the queen.
