The Trappit Black Stripe Funnel Pot is an effective monitoring trap that can be used by beekeepers to detect and catch wax moths in comb storage areas.

Wax moths are strongly attracted to the smell of old brood comb and honeycomb. By placing a small piece of comb inside the trap, moths are drawn into the funnel where they become trapped inside the pot or captured on a sticky liner (available separately)

This simple monitoring method helps beekeepers detect wax moth activity early, helping to protect stored frames, supers and drawn comb.

How to Use for Wax Moth Monitoring

1. Place a small piece of old brood comb or honeycomb inside the trap.
2. Insert a sticky liner (sold separately) in the base of the pot.
3. Place the trap in comb storage areas, honey houses or sheds where frames are stored.

Wax moths attracted by the comb scent will enter the funnel and become trapped.
