Professional coarse 1000 micron conical honey strainer from Swienty, Denmark. This large 45cm diameter × 60cm long nylon cone filter is ideal for removing larger pieces of wax and debris from freshly extracted honey, either as a standalone coarse strainer or as the first stage of a multi-stage honey filtration system.

The Swienty Coarse Conical Honey Strainer is a large professional-quality 1000 micron (1mm) nylon cone filter, designed for coarse filtration of freshly extracted honey.

With a generous 45cm diameter and 60cm length, the pointed conical design provides a large filtration surface, allowing honey to flow efficiently while capturing larger wax particles and debris from the extraction process.

Manufactured by Swienty in Denmark, this is the coarsest of our large 45cm conical strainers and is particularly useful as a pre-filter before finer honey filtration.

Coarse 1000 Micron / 1mm Honey Filtration

This is Swienty's Coarse 1000 micron version.

A 1000 micron mesh is equivalent to approximately 1mm, providing a considerably more open filtration grade than our 350 micron Fine and 200 micron Extra Fine strainers.

The larger mesh allows honey to pass through readily while catching larger pieces of:

  • Beeswax
  • Wax cappings
  • Comb fragments
  • Other larger debris remaining after extraction

This makes it particularly useful for first-stage or coarse honey filtration.

Ideal as a Honey Pre-Filter

For larger honey harvests, using more than one filtration grade can help improve efficiency.

The 1000 micron coarse cone filter can be used as the first stage to remove larger debris before the honey is passed through a finer strainer.

Our Swienty 45cm conical strainer range includes:

1000 Micron – Coarse
For removing larger wax particles and debris. Ideal as a first-stage or pre-filter.

350 Micron – Fine
A good general-purpose filtration grade, balancing effective filtration with efficient honey flow.

200 Micron – XX Fine / Extra Fine
For finer filtration and removal of smaller particles.

Using the appropriate filtration grade allows you to tailor your honey filtering setup to the volume, temperature and condition of the honey being processed.

Large 45cm Conical Filtering Surface

At 45cm diameter and 60cm long, this is a substantial honey strainer designed for processing larger quantities of honey.

The conical shape creates a much larger filtering surface than a conventional flat strainer, helping honey flow through the mesh efficiently while collected material remains within the cone.

Swienty specifies that the filter can be used with containers from approximately 32cm to 90cm in diameter.

For the most stable setup, we recommend using the dedicated Swienty conical filter stand.

No Pull Cord on the 1000 Micron Version

Please note: unlike the 200 and 350 micron versions, the Swienty 1000 micron coarse cone is supplied WITHOUT the pull cord.

This is the manufacturer's specification for this particular coarse filtration grade and is not a missing component.
