The Nicot Cupularve is a professional non-grafting queen rearing system designed to help beekeepers raise high-quality queens with minimal handling. Ideal for both beginners and experienced beekeepers, this system allows the queen to lay directly into removable cups, eliminating the need for grafting.

Key Benefits

  • No grafting required – simple and reliable queen rearing
  • High acceptance rates for successful queen production
  • Reusable plastic system built to last
  • Suitable for hobbyists and commercial beekeepers
  • Compatible with full Nicot queen rearing system components

What is the Nicot Cupularve?

The Cupularve is the core component of the Nicot queen rearing system, widely used across the UK and Europe for raising queens without grafting.

It consists of a plastic grid containing approximately 110 cell positions, allowing the queen to lay eggs directly into artificial cell cups. These can then be transferred into queen cell bars for rearing.

This version includes the main cage and grid only, making it ideal as a replacement part or for expanding an existing system.

How it Works

  1. The queen is confined within the Cupularve cage
  2. She lays eggs directly into the plastic cell cups
  3. Once larvae develop, cups are removed and placed into cell bars
  4. Colonies raise new queens from selected larvae

This process removes the need for delicate grafting and improves consistency in queen production.

Who is this for?

  • Beekeepers new to queen rearing
  • Those struggling with grafting techniques
  • Commercial beekeepers wanting consistency
  • Anyone using or building a full Nicot system

FAQ

Do I need to graft larvae with the Nicot system?
No — the queen lays directly into the cups, removing the need for grafting.

Is this a complete queen rearing kit?
No — this listing is for the cage and grid only. Additional components are required to run the full system.

How many queens can I raise with this?
The grid holds around 110 cups, but typically you will raise a smaller number per cycle depending on your setup.

Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes — this is one of the easiest queen rearing systems available and is ideal for those new to queen breeding.

What’s the difference between this and a full Cupkit?
This product includes just the core cage and grid. A full kit includes cups, holders, bars, and additional accessories.

Please note this is for the main cage only.
