The Bientec two-frame queen introduction and isolation cage is designed for safely introducing a new queen or temporarily confining an existing queen to create a controlled brood break.

Suitable for two Langstroth deep frames, the cage allows the queen to remain on comb with space to lay while limiting brood production to the enclosed frames. Worker bees can pass freely through the precise 4.3mm excluder spacing, maintaining contact with and caring for the isolated queen.

For queen introduction, the cage provides a protected area where a new queen can be gradually accepted by the colony while remaining separated from direct contact outside the enclosed frames.

When used to create a brood break, temporarily isolating the queen restricts new brood production to the two enclosed frames. This can form part of an integrated varroa-management programme by creating a defined interruption in the colony’s brood cycle.

Made from durable hot-dip galvanised steel, the cage includes a removable lid for access and is designed for repeated use.
