Mini Steam Wax Melter - Beeswax Melter - by Carl Fritz

i had 25-30 brood frames some quite manky with fermenting old stores and beginnings of wax moth sitting around waiting for me to get this wax Melter, after some not very good attempts using the stove and old pot ect, After melting down the frames in the carl fritz steam wax Melter and dumping the cocoons debris on the compost heap, i cleaned out the Melter as best i could and then placed the big 1.8 kg block of wax inside a 100% cotton pillowcase and placed it back in the steam wax Melter for another cycle, just a layer of greyish fuzzy stuff to scrape off the bottom and a very clean block of wax, will give it another run through and i expect it will just get even better. very very happy with the results.

I haven't had an opportunity to use this item yet, but I'm blown away by the solid construction which should last decades. The lower spout is perfectly situated to clear the sump fully in use, the internal basket is very well designed and all the welds and seals show top notch German engineering. A quality piece of kit at a competitive price.
