One-Handed Queen Catcher

A simple one-handed queen catcher designed to safely capture and hold the queen bee during hive inspections or queen marking.

This practical tool allows beekeepers to catch the queen while keeping the frame in the other hand, making the process quicker and easier.

Designed for Queen Marking

Once the queen is inside the catcher, the sliding door traps her safely inside the chamber.

A small plunger allows the queen to be gently moved against the marking grid, allowing easy access for marking or inspection.

Worker bees can escape through the slots while the queen remains safely contained.

Easy One-Hand Operation

The design allows the catcher to be operated with thumb and forefinger, so the beekeeper can continue holding the frame during inspections.

This makes it especially useful when:

• marking queens
• locating queens during inspections
• transferring queens between frames
