Cleaning & Sterilising

Immersion Cleaning

Submerge in a tank with a solution of water and caustic potash (potassium hydroxide) at 5% concentration. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry fully.

  • Ensure proper ventilation to avoid inhalation of fumes.
  • Ensure you follow safety guidance on the product labelling.
  • Do not allow temperatures to exceed 80’c.
  • The fastener clips should be removed prior to immersion, then reinstalled after cleaning.

Alternative Cleaning

Wash with a bleach (chlorine) and water solution at a ratio of 1:10. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry fully.

  • Ensure proper ventilation to avoid inhalation of fumes.
  • Ensure you follow safety guidance on the product labelling.
  • Do not allow temperatures to exceed 80’c.
  • The fastener clips should be removed prior to immersion, then reinstalled after cleaning.

Steam Cleaning

The temperature tolerance of the polypropylene is 80’c, so steam cleaning is not recommended.
