The InstantVap vapouriser is a proven method for effectively treating your colonies against the Varroa Destructor Mite. It does this by vapourising Oxalic Acid Dihydrate at the most optimal temperature required for a fast and effective treatment. Unlike other ‘similar-looking’ devices, InstantVap is the first type of cordless Vapouriser on the market. Its design and build are based on legitimate scientific studies that cannot be rivalled by cheaper imitations. It is reliable, fast, and effective.
The InstantVap units should only be used with oxalic acid dihydrate of 97%-100% purity, such as Varroxal Oxalic Acid Dehydrate Powder.
Be aware that some other oxalic acid products contain additives such as glucose that are unsuitable for use in this device, and may affect your warranty.
No – only treat when honey for human consumption is removed.
Treatment is most effective during a brood break, which is usually during the winter period.
Yes, when used with proper PPE: respirator, gloves, and goggles.
The InstantVap vaporiser should only be used with the appropriate protective equipment. Inhalation of vaporised oxalic acid or contact with eyes and skin, even in small quantities, will cause serious damage to health.
Whilst the handle is situated away from the heating chamber, the whole front part of the device heats up to high temperatures.

Yes! For best results, use during brood-less periods.
We recommend selecting a battery that is compatible with your existing power tools wherever possible. This allows you to to get the best use out of your battery.
If you are looking for a new battery, we cannot suggest a ‘best’ brand, however you need to ensure that is is compatible with the device, including ample wattage/voltage.
PPE
Ensure you wear appropriate PPE when handling a device containing Oxalic Acid.
Internal Cleaning
Each Vapouriser device comes with a silicone cleaning cap (spares available).
Fill the cleaning cap with water.
Heat the device to full temperature.
Turn the unit off and remove the battery. Remove the dispenser.
Turning the unit upside down, fit the cleaning cap onto the tube.
Holding the cap firmly, and pointing the device away from you, turn the unit the right way up so the water makes contact with the heating chamber. This will create a burst of steam which will clean the chamber.
Repeat until the water stops steaming. You do not need to reheat the device.
External Cleaning
Clean the outside of the unit by wiping it with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the device in water. Ensure battery is removed prior to cleaning.
Cleaning the Dispenser
The dispenser can be rinsed in water to remove excess Oxalic Acid. Add a drop of mineral oil or grease to the O-ring to increase lifespan and ease of use.
Storage
Ensure the unit is clean and dry prior to storage.
The InstantVap devices are lightweight and compact, whilst remaining strong and durable due to the stainless steel casing. The outlet tube is made from brass and designed to be hard wearing and long lasting.
A telescopic stick is available for compatible devices, that allows hands-free treatment.
All InstantVap vapouriser devices come with a two year manufacturer warranty (not including accessories).
In the unlikely event of device failure, simply get in touch with us and we can guide you through the return and repair process. All device repairs are handled in-house by us.
Each device is compatible with a range of batteries. The battery sockets can be changed. You will need to send your device to us and we will swap the battery sockets out for you. There is a small fee for this, and for the return shipping back to you.
