Api-Bioxal 31g – New Formulation (4.4% Oxalic Acid Solution)

A newly improved and fully licensed oxalic acid treatment for effective control of varroa mites. Supplied as a 31g sachet, producing a 4.4% solution when prepared as directed.

This updated formulation has been developed for both trickling and vaporising applications. The added excipients help prevent clogging, making it suitable for use in all approved vaporisers.

Each sachet will treat approximately 10–15 hives.

⚠️ Always wear appropriate protective equipment when handling and applying. Scoop not included.

Fully Compatible with InstantVap Range

This powder is fully compatible with all of our InstantVap vaporisers:

  • InstantVap Turbo
  • InstantVap Original
  • InstantVap Compact
  • InstantVap Lite

The refined formulation helps reduce clogging and ensures smooth operation across the entire InstantVap range.

Trickling Method

  1. Empty the entire sachet into 500ml of warm 1:1 sugar syrup (308ml water + 308g sugar).
  2. Using a dosing bottle, apply 5ml of solution into each seam of bees between frames.
  3. Do not exceed a total of 50ml per hive.

Vaporising Method

  1. Measure 2g of Api-Bioxal powder and place into the pan of your vaporiser (e.g. InstantVap, Vapmite, Oxalika).
  2. Insert the vaporiser into the hive entrance, avoiding contact with frames, and seal the entrance to prevent bees escaping.
  3. Activate the vaporiser and run for approximately 3 minutes (follow your vaporiser manufacturer’s instructions).
  4. Keep the hive closed for a further 15 minutes after treatment.
  5. Allow the unit to cool, rinse with clean water, and clean thoroughly after use.
  6. Repeat for each hive being treated.
