Our Langstroth bee nucs for sale will be ready for collection or delivery from mid-May 2026 onwards, weather permitting.

These 5 frame Langstroth nucleus colonies are headed by a 2026 EU origin Buckfast Queen and produced in our own apiaries at Gwenyn Gruffydd Honey Farm in West Wales.

These nucs are ideal for:

• Langstroth beehives,
• Flow Hive beekeeping systems,
• ANEL plastic Langstroth hives
• Quarti Nucs

If you own a Flow Hive or a Langstroth hive, you must use bees on Langstroth frames — these nucs are the correct format.

Pre-orders are now open for May, June and July 2026 collection or delivery.

What You Will Receive

Each nuc is supplied in a new correx travel box and contains:

• 5 Langstroth frames with bees
• 2026 mated Buckfast Queen (EU origin)
• Minimum 3–4 frames of brood in all stages (eggs, larvae and sealed brood)
• Frames containing honey stores and pollen
• A strong colony of worker bees
• Fully inspected and health checked by us before dispatch

These colonies are ready to transfer straight into your Langstroth hive.

Suitable For Flow Hive Beekeepers

If you keep bees in a Flow Hive, you must install a Langstroth nucleus colony.

These nucs are supplied on self-spacing Langstroth frames, making them perfect for:

• Flow Hive systems, 
• Quarti Poly Nucs,
• ANEL plastic Langstroth hives,
• Standard Langstroth wooden hives

Our Buckfast Langstroth nucs are headed by carefully selected Buckfast queens from well-established breeding lines.

• Bee Farmers Association

This accreditation ensures the highest standards of disease monitoring and apiary management.

Collection

Collection is always the preferred option, as it is less stressful for the bees.

Delivery

Delivery is available to UK mainland addresses.

Nucs are dispatched every Tuesday for Wednesday delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery (before 1pm).

This schedule allows us to carefully prepare colonies and ensure the safest transport conditions.
