Assistant Warehouse & Honey Farm Operative

Join Our Team at Gwenyn Gruffydd

Gwenyn Gruffydd is a growing honey farm and beekeeping supplies business based in rural Carmarthenshire producing award-winning honey and beeswax products while supplying beekeeping equipment and bees across the UK.

We are looking for a practical, hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our small team in a varied full-time role supporting all areas of the business throughout the year.

The role changes with the seasons and the successful candidate will rotate through different areas of the business, supporting the team with key tasks in each season. A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to turn your hand to different tasks is essential.

The Role

  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
  • Receiving and organising incoming stock
  • Serving customers in the shop and answering phone enquiries
  • Keeping warehouse, stock and yard areas tidy and organised
  • Assisting with stock replenishment and general warehouse duties
  • Supporting honey extraction and honey jarring during harvest season
  • Assisting with beeswax candle making and workshop production
  • Helping with general honey farm tasks when required
  • Supporting other team members during busy periods across the business

  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Previous warehouse, customer facing roles or food processing experience would be an advantage but is not essential. An interest in beekeeping would also be beneficial.

Job Details

  • Full Time – 5 days per week
  • 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Permanent position
  • Based at Gwenyn Gruffydd Ltd, Bryn Bach, Carmarthenshire SA32 8SE
  • £12.71 per hour
  • 6 months probationary period

Please note this is a physically active role involving lifting heavy parcels and boxes, walking and being on your feet throughout the day.
