This tall taper candle mould is designed for makers who want consistent results and a traditional candle profile. The clear plastic construction allows you to monitor wax levels during pouring and cooling, helping you achieve a smooth, even finish every time.

With a finished candle height of approximately 26cm, this mould is perfect for dinner candles, table settings, church candles, and decorative displays. It works particularly well with beeswax or beeswax/soy blends, producing a firm candle that releases cleanly once set.

Each mould includes a small wick hole at the base for easy wick placement and accurate centring.

Wax Recommendations

  • For best results:
  • Pure beeswax
  • Beeswax / soy blend (recommended 50:50)
  • Paraffin or pillar wax
  • Pure soy wax alone is not recommended, as it can be too soft and difficult to release without chilling.

How to Use

  1. Thread the pre-waxed wick through the small hole at the base of the mould
  2. Seal the wick hole with bluetack or similar pliable material
  3. Secure the mould upright
  4. Pour melted beeswax at about 75-80°C. The hollow formed as the wax cools can be topped up with fresh wax.
  5. Allow to cool fully (approx. 4 hours)
  6. Gently tap the mould on a flat surface or a sharp tap with a hand to release the candle. A short while in the freezer will help stubborn candles.

If using high soy content wax, brief refrigeration (15–20 minutes) can help with release or you could give the tube a light spray of silicone release before wicking and pouring.

Important Notes

  • Minor seam lines or surface marks on the outside of the mould are normal and do not affect candle quality
