B.S National Galvanised Steel Queen Excluder
A queen excluder is a flat grid that is used to prevent the larger queen be and drones from passing through thus allowing worker bees to pass through the grid to the upper boxes to store honey. This means that the supers only contain stored honey and will not have brood in them.

I am very disappointed in this queen excluder. Although I would only use one for a very short while I found the sides of the holes very sharp and I would consider this a danger to the bees’ wings. Maybe the wire ones would be a bit kinder.
I'm only giving four stars simply because there was a slight dent in one side. I think the weight of the hive might push it out over time, but I don't think it will be detrimental to it's use.
We don't have DPD in the remote Highlands so it probably took a few extra days to arrive, but that's a norm for us.
We are only just starting our beekeeping journey and hope to get our bees next year.
