Transparent Top feeder for Langstroth Hive (and Dadant)

7.5kg capacity plastic beehive feeder

Low budget solution for top feeding.  Sun exposure will break this plastic down over time. Keeping it out of direct sunlight will preserve its life.

Essential for Spring and autumn feeding.

Fixing the Bee Blockers

We recommend the use of a bee-safe lubricant, such as vegetable or olive oil to assist with fixing the bee blockers in place. This helps to prevent breakages when fitting.

  1. Using a natural oil such as vegetable oil, thinly coat the lugs of the bee blockers.
  2. Line the lugs with the holes in the feeder.
  3. Press down firmly but carefully, to push the bee blockers fully into the holes.
  4. Ensure the bee blockers are pushed as far down as they can be, with no gaps underneath.
