Centrifuge For Cappings Wax / Filtering Heather Honey by Thomas Apiculture
As seen in the Gwenyn Gruffydd Honey House!
A best-seller in the Thomas range for decades, this variable-speed centrifuge allows you to process your cappings to extract the honey. It is usually located near the tank or uncapping machine.
Simply open the lid, insert the honey seals into the basket, and start the machine. The device automatically balances itself thanks to an acceleration ramp. At the end of the extraction day, the honey house is clean; the dried wax can be melted later.
> Stainless steel basket diameter 32 cm.
> Single-phase 220 V - 550 W.
> Dimensions of the tank diameter 320 mm - height: 420 mm.
> Honey outlet height: 310 mm.
> Total height: 900 mm.
This centrifuge has variable speed. It is equipped with a speed variator on a separate console. This centrifuge alone fulfills the function of drying the cappings at high speed and filtering the honey at low speed. (especially for heather and calluna honeys). It allows continuous filtering thanks to an opening equipped with a threaded tube on the upper cover through which the honey is sent using a pump. The honey is thus filtered without emulsion. This model has a very wide speed range, from 0 to 1500 rpm. Sold with 2 Nylon sieves (1 drying and 1 filtering) .
Made in France, 3-year warranty.
Beekeeper's tips
To extract the maximum amount of honey, perform two spin cycles of a few minutes, shaking the nylon basket between the two to loosen the cappings.
