FIEM Queen Cell Transport Box — 12V Portable Incubator for Moving Queen Cells | Made in Italy

The FIEM Trasportino Celle Reali (Royal Cells Portable Unit) is a 12V transport incubator built for queen breeders who need to move developing queen cells safely — between out-apiaries, to mating yards, or to customers — without losing the stable temperature those cells depend on. Manufactured by F.I.E.M. SRL of Italy, beekeeping incubator specialists since 1975, it's exclusively available in the UK from Gwenyn Gruffydd.

Built for Queen Breeders on the Move

Queen cells are at their most vulnerable in the days before emergence, and a cold car boot or a hot dashboard can undo weeks of careful grafting in a single journey. The FIEM transport box solves this by keeping cells at a stable, controlled temperature throughout the trip — whether you're running between out-apiaries, ferrying grafted cells to a finishing colony, or delivering ripe cells and queens to customers.

This makes it a natural companion for:

  • Queen breeders managing multiple apiary sites or mating yards
  • Anyone collecting grafted cells from an out-apiary for finishing elsewhere
  • Beekeepers delivering queen cells or queens to customers
  • Mobile queen rearing operations without easy access to mains power

Key Features

  • Digital thermoregulator, adjustable in tenths of a degree Celsius for precise temperature control on the move
  • Small internal fan for even temperature distribution throughout the cabinet
  • Insulated structure — 20mm panels with polystyrene core and PVC covering
  • Powered via 12V car cigarette lighter socket or a 12V battery — works anywhere, even off-grid
  • Optional 220–240V mains power adapter available for use at home or in the apiary
  • 2 cell-holder foam trays included as standard
  • Compact enough to sit comfortably on a car's passenger seat — seatbelt it in for extra security while driving
  • Electrical components compliant with CEE safety regulations

Why Choose the FIEM Queen Cell Transport Box

FIEM has been manufacturing incubators and hatching equipment since 1975, and this transport unit brings the same precision temperature control to the journey, not just the incubator. As the exclusive UK stockist, Gwenyn Gruffydd can support you directly with setup advice and accessories.

Transport unit with 2 cell-holder foam trays fitted, and 12V power supply plug. 220–240V mains adapter not included (optional extra).

2 cell-holder trays included · Power: 12V DC (car/battery), 60W · 220–240V mains adapter optional · External size: 380×420×330mm (H) · Internal usable size: 330×330×200mm (H) · Net weight: 5.37kg · Made in Italy.

Yes, if you ever move cells between sites. A stationary incubator holds cells at the apiary or workshop, but this transport unit is purpose-built for the journey itself — running from your car's 12V socket so cells stay at a stable temperature en route, rather than fluctuating in a cool box or on the dashboard.

No assembly required. Plug into a 12V car socket or battery, set the thermoregulator, and load your cell-holder trays.

Wipe the interior and trays with a damp cloth after use. Store somewhere dry when not in use.
