Painting with Masonry paint on the outside is advisable to prolong life expectancy of the hive.
National Polystyrene Hive Parts manufactured in Denmark by Swienty. Excellent quality and 100% compatible with timber national hives and other poly hives. Polystyrene is 45mm thick / density 100g/litre.
Product had oil contamination on the metal vero mesh but was ok after washing.
The Swienty floor has the benefit of an open mesh floor along with a sliding plastic tray beneath which collects debris from the hive and enables checking for any varroa. As with all Swienty products it is well made from quality polystyrene .
