The design is excellent for a first extractor. Very little honey is lost and there’s almost no mess. Better for frames as the bees won’t have to build up wax next year as they had to when using the mash and drain method. Really delighted that I spent slightly more and saved myself any precarious balancing of filters etc. everything required is built in.

First thing first this is the cheapest place to get this saving you £10-15 if I remember correctly!!
Ok about the extractor only had to screw handle on and remove plastic film off lids .
Very well made and light weight holds 4 shallow frames or 2 brood frames large holding tank with built in strainer after settling I didn’t need to use any other strainer straight to jarring.
Would recommend this item and glad I purchased it done 1x brood and 4x shallows and had loads of room left .
