Nuc settled in well can't fault at all more than happy with their expansion calm nature making them a pleasure.
The delivery was prompt it arrived at 7.20 am so not had any heat stress.

I have held off writing this review because I wanted to wait for the apiary inspection from my local Bee Inspector.
I took delivery of my 5 frame nuc on the 7th May and installed them the same day. The bees were healthy and happy and had strong brood patterns on the frames. When they arrived. Within 7 days the bees had drawn out a further 5 frames and the queen was laying on them. These are strong healthy bees and I could not be happier. The service from Gwenyn Gruffydd is absolutely amazing and their bees strong and healthy. Definitely a five star review from me.

I've held off giving a review for a good few weeks as I wanted to see how the bees were doing, particularly as I'm a new keeper and only vaguely aware of what to look for! I ordered a 5 frame nuc with Buckfast queen. Arrived in a nice aerated box, with good instructions to get them moved to the hive and fed same day. Despite the journey via Royal Mail, the transfer to the hive was really straightforward and I was surprised how calm the bees were. This calmness has continued to this day, through a couple of full hive inspections and a bit more intrusion (I'll come to that). The colony is absolutely thriving, they've just about filled the 10 frame brood box (5 from the nuc and 5 that were empty) and today have added a second brood box with another 10 frames, which I'm confident that they will fully grow into this season. When I added the second box today, I moved 2 frames of mostly larvae up to the new box and switched in empty frames - I understand opinion in mixed on whether this is required or not, but that aside, whilst I was moving them over between boxes again they were as calm as you like. It's getting to the stage where I don't really use the smoker as they are pretty chilled and focused on their own business. So overall really pleased and remain slightly stunned by how calm they are. Will definitely use GG for future purchases.

Excellent quality of nucleus bees are mild settled in well in back garden and growing well,customer care and information very well supplied, and would recommend to any beekeepers out there.

Lovely calm bees. Settling in well, bringing in lots of pollen. Will buy again.
